I love travelling. The best my memories are from the Canary Islands. The natural beauty of these Islands is memorable. What I love mostly is the scenery, climate, food and wine from local vineyards. Many Islands vines are centuries old - believe it or not, wine has been produced in the Canaries for over 500 years. The Field of Vines Blanket is dedicated to those volcanic Canary Islands with their forests, lava fields, vineyards, friendly towns and winter sunbathing!

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced.
Stitches used: intricate vine motif, cable and lace panels throughout with a garter stitch border. The pattern comes with written instructions and charts.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
• 28 x 50 g balls (1960 m or 2156 yds), using Drops Alaska 5458 (Grey Uni colour shade) yarn.
You can use any other substitute yarn as there no need to follow the gauge for this blanket.
• 1 Circular needle 8.00 mm x 100 cm (US 11).
• 1 Tapestry needle.

GAUGE (tension): 11 sts and 16 rows = 10 cm (4”) measured over Garter st, blanket being blocked, using 8.00 mm (US 11) needle. NB Gauge is not crucial for this pattern.

MEASUREMENTS AFTER BLOCKING:
140 (length) x 186 (width)cm (55 x 73 ½ ins). NB Your size depends on your gauge.
