These cheerful and diversity-friendly finger puppets were designed for Knitting4Peace. For now all of the finger puppets donated are sent to baby and infant clinics for use in language development.

They are knit in the round, on dpns, with bobble boots and arms to save on fiddly sewing. The girl’s hair is attached by looping it around the head hole with a tapestry needle. For both the adult and child sizes I recommend sock/fingering. For slightly bigger puppets you could use sport or dk.

Permission
Although these puppets were designed for Knitting4Peace, you have my permission to use them in any way you wish, but I do ask that you make a small donation of $5 dollars (or more) in exchange. You can donate here! If $5 is not doable please consider this pattern a gift.

Praise for Fingerprint Puppets

These are so cute and fun to make. (Elemenopeo)

Quick little knit. (GigiGinny)

I found the pattern very easy to follow, and a super fun knit. I was worried that it would be futzy, but the clever bobble feet and hands were easy to do and ending up very neat looking. (LongmontKathy)

They are so cute! Thank you, Natasha, for always designing such cute dolls. (mirihi)
