PDF KNITTING PATTERN ONLY! Colourful summer blossoms inspired me to knit this rustic country cottage style blanket, featuring pretty floral lace, nupps and cable motifs. I played with lots of textured stitches to create the Flowers By The Fence Afghan. A beautiful and extremely warm piece, is knitted using Aran yarn and 8.00 mm circular needle in one piece, bottom up. By combining more advanced stitches with simple Seed (Moss) stitch borders, you are able to create a visually stunning snuggle.
SKILL LEVEL: Advanced.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
• 31 x 50 g balls (2170 m or 2387 yds), using Drops Alaska 5458 (Grey uni colour shade) yarn.
• You can use any other substitute yarn as there no need to follow the gauge for this blanket.
• 1 Circular needle 8.00 mm (US 11) x 100 cm.
• 1 Tapestry needle.
GAUGE (tension): 13 sts and 16 rows = 10 cm (4”) measured over Seed (Moss) st, blanket being blocked, using 8.00 mm (US 11) needle. NB Gauge is not crucial for this pattern.
MEASUREMENTS AFTER BLOCKING:
135 x 182 cm (53 1⁄4 x 71 3⁄4 ins). NB Your size depends on your gauge.
