I love rainy days, and I know so many other people do too! These socks feature an easy to memorise cable pattern inspired by the joy of sitting in on a raining day and shamelessly having a knitting day!

Please note the pattern is written for magic loop style sock knitting. It is toe up using a Turkish Cast On, and with a German Short Row heel. There are brief instructions for method conversion to other sock knitting methods (DPN’s and 9” circulars).

Sizes: 60 (64) 68 (72) stitch size. Please pick the size with your normal stitch count for socks.

Gauge: 8 sts per 1” inch/2.5 cm in stockinette or 32 sts per 4” inches/10cm

Materials: Sample was knit in Bombed Yarns Indigo Dyed Gradient Set 75% SW Merino/25% Nylon (approx 400m/100g). Sample shown in pictures is a U.S Womens 6.5 used approx. 200m on 60 stitch count.
Pick your favourite indie dyed sock yarn or commercial sock yarn.

A bold solid colour, tonals or gradients look great in this pattern.

Recommended Needles: 2.25 mm needles

Notions: Tapestry needle, and an optional cable needle. Helpful hints and tricks to cable without a cable needle are given in the pattern.
