I love rainy days, and I know so many other people do too! This cowl features the same easy to memorise cable pattern as the Rainy Day socks, inspired by the joy of sitting in on a raining day and shamelessly having a knitting day!

Materials Required
1 skein of fingering weight yarn. Sample was knit in Louie & Lola Merino Silk Yak in the Summer Days colourway (60% merino 20% silk 20% yak 366 metres/400 yards per 100g) Sample used 86 grams.

This knit looks best in a solid/tonal colour choice, and with a yarn that has some drape to it. The sample yarn is 20% silk and 20% yak which creates beautiful drape.

Recommended Needles:
2.75mm/US 2 60cm/24in circular needle or a size smaller needle than larger guage needle.
3.25mm/US3 60cm/24in circular needle or needle size that meets recommended gauge

Notions:
14 Stitch markers (optional), cable needle, and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge:
7 sts/ 10 rows per 1 inch/2.5 cm in stockinette in the round.
28sts/40 rows per 4 inches/10cm in stockinette in the round.
