This design was a collaboration with Yarn Divas for their 2023 Advent Calendar. When Chrissy and Sherri (owners of Yarn Divas) told me the inspiration for this year I knew I wanted some Forest Friends to be gathered around a Christmas tree, a North star shining brightly in the night sky, and a sense of Peace of the season. You’ll have fun with each round watching the animals arrive at the Christmas tree as you knit. Add little baubles to the tree using a French knot technique.

These mittens are knit with the Latvian braid cuff first which then folds over a ribbed cuff. The thumb is an afterthought thumb construction. This pattern includes directions for one size but additional sizes can be achieved by using smaller or larger needles and lighter or heavier sock yarns.
