Formal Crescent
Formal Crescent is a generously-sized crescent shawl knitted in cushy garter stitch with a sweeping lace edging. Drape this shawl warmly around your shoulders for an elegant night out or a cozy evening in.
This shawl begins with a garter tab at the centre neck and radiates outwards over the back and shoulders with 8 increases every RS row, finishing on a RS row to complete the final garter ridge. A substantial lace edging with alternating points is then knitted on sideways across the live body stitches, with lace tips incorporated into the body at the garter edge.
This pattern includes both charted and written instructions, as well as tips and tricks for modifying the pattern to suit your meterage and whims.
