Meretrix

Meretrix was formed out of a desire to knit a simple lace pattern that even a beginner could intuitively grasp. The idea was a long, relatively shallow triangle with a simple lace repeat.
I’m new to lace knitting. Truth be told, I’m relatively new to knitting in general, but here is a simple top-down eyelet and stockinette lace shawl, which can be made large or small, with a border or without, just as the individual pleases.
As for the name….well, after the third person who told me that my prototypes resembled risqué women’s underwear, I gave up and named it Meretrix. There; it can be as naughty as it likes now.
Gauge and yarn weight do not matter; however, it might be wise to use a slightly larger needle than usual to achieve a nice drape.
