FREESTYLER socks are made from the cuff down and the gusset increases are added in two rows only - based on the concept that the distribution of the increases is very flexible as long as the proportion of increases and gusset rounds is maintained. This allows for the chevron lace pattern to expand from small through medium to large triangles. The pattern works best with solid or semi-solid yarns.

This is the third pattern in the series DIFFERENT GUSSETS - this series is inspired by different sock architectures from Cat Bordhi’s “New Pathways for Sock Knitters”.

This pattern includes charts and written instructions for 3 sizes - 56, 64 and 72 stitches, corresponding with foot circumference of approximately 18/22/26 cm (7/8.7/10.2 in).

FIT: normal

MATERIALS:
Yarn: appr. 400 m (437 yards) of fingering weight yarn
Actual yarn usage depends on the foot and leg size, that are both adjustable.
The sample was knit in Miss Knitski Bamboorino (colorway Sweet Orange). I used 68 grams / 272 meters (298 yards) for EU size 36 and size 64 sts.

Needles: 2.25 mm (US 1) 80 cm circular needles/DPNs or needles to obtain gauge

Gauge: 33 sts x 44 rows - 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) in stockinette stitch, unstretched

Other: stitch markers, tapestry needle

Skarpetki FREESTYLER dziergane są od ściągacza w dół, a oczka na klin dodajemy tylko w dwóch rzędach - bazuje to na koncepcji, że umiejscowienie dodawania oczek na klin może być dowolne tak długo, jak zostanie zachowana proporcja dodawanych oczek do długości klinu. Dzięki temu szewronowy ażurowy wzór na skarpetkach rośnie od mniejszych, przez średnie aż do dużych trójkątów.
Ten wzór najlepiej będzie wyglądał na włóczkach jednokolorowych lub delikatnie cieniowanych.

To trzeci wzór w serii KLIN INACZEJ, stworzonej na podstawie różnych rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych z książki Cat Bordhi “New Pathways for Sock Knitters”.

Wzór zawiera pisemne instrukcje oraz schematy dla 3 rozmiarów - na 56, 64 i 72 oczka, dla stopy o obwodzie ok. 18/22/26 cm.

Włóczka: ok. 400 m włóczki grubości fingering (400m/100g)
Dokładne zużycie włóczki zależy od rozmiaru stopy i długości nogawki, oba parametry można dowolnie dopasować.

Oryginalne skarpetki zrobione są z Bamboorino Miss Knitski w kolorze Sweet Orange. Na skarpetki w rozmiarze 36 i na 64 oczka zużyłam 68 gramów/272 metry włóczki.

Druty: 2.25 mm, druty na żyłce 80 cm/pończosznicze lub rozmiar, który daje odpowiednią próbkę

Próbka: 33 oczka x 44 rzędy - 10 cm x 10 cm ściegiem pończoszniczym, bez naciągania

Jeśli masz wypróbowane druty i liczbę oczek, którymi dziergasz skarpety, możesz pominąć próbkę i użyć ulubionego rozmiaru.
