As a child, my family spent a lot of time in Frisco, Colorado, a mountain town with old-timey charm. One of our favorite things to do in the winter was to walk the few blocks to the nearest coffee shop in the snow, bundling up in all of our snow gear and often dragging a sled behind us.

With their simple charm and classic look, the Frisco mittens are perfect for your winter strolls or commutes.

Materials:
-Size US 9 needles, either DPNs or round needles with a 16” or longer middle (size US 10 may also be used for tight knitters)
-Size 5 (bulky) yarn, approx. 80 yards for both mittens
-Stitch markers
-Tapestry Needle
-Extra stitch holder or scrap yarn for holding the thumb stitches

Time: 3-5 hours
