GALANTHEA
Galanthea is a cushion ­inspired by snowdrops peeking out of the ground as a sure sign of spring. It is made up of two large circles, each divided into 12 wedges, where both the shape and the colorwork pattern is created ­using short-rows. Each circle starts with a provisional cast-on and in the end you close it with an ­invisible seam. An i-cord edge both sews up the sides and gives it a beautiful decorative edge. To top it off, the centre gets its shape by adding covered buttons on both sides.

Galantheae is a tribe of flowers that snowdrops and summer snowflakes belong to.

50 cm in diameter, or 54 cm from i-cord edge to i-cord edge.

YARN
Ullcentrum 2-ply, ­Swedish wool yarn, 300 m/100g (light sport weight).
Color A: 6/2-6112 Alvar Timjan, 135g/405m used
Color B: 6/2-3133 Grön mörk Gotland, 35g/105m used
Color C: 6/2-0101 Vit, 23g/69m used

GAUGE
18 sts x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm in garter stitch, measured before blocking. Gauge is not crucial, but will affect yardage and size of the pillow.
