Ginsberg Shawl is a rectangular shawl/wrap that features a cabled band anchoring a diagonal blend of complimentary colors. As shown, Ginsberg blends six colors, which makes it the perfect project for creating a palette from stash (or to justify getting one more skein from your favorite shop).

Gauge: 4 inches = 17.5 stitches x 32 rows in garter stitch (Please check your gauge as it will affect the finished size and yarn usage.)

Finished size: 58” long x 26” wide after blocking

Needle: 40” or larger US 4/3.5mm and Cable Needle

Yarn: One skein and five partial skeins of fingering weight yarn, in the following amounts:

  • One skein fingering weight yarn: 400 yards
  • Four partial skeins of fingering weight yarn: 175-200 yards each skein
  • One partial skein fingering weight yarn: 100-125 yards

As shown, the Ginsberg Shawl uses the following yarns:
