The play of dark against light is reminiscent of light shining through stained glass windows - hence the title Glasswork!

Glasswork is a long, narrow depth, symmetrical triangle shawl. Perfect for being draped over shoulders, and long enough to be wrapped into a scarf. As a knitter, I prefer a narrow shawl, and I had a hard time finding one that was symmetrical that I liked. So here she is!

Alternating rows of garter stripes, textured twisted rib panels, and geometric lace sections make for a fun and engaging knit that you won’t want to put down! It was designed to use only two skeins of hand dyed yarn in contrasting colours - a bright variegated, and a dark tonal or semi-solid.

The pattern comes with written and charted directions for the lace panels, for those who don’t like charts, and those who do.

I used a 4.5mm needle, as I am a tight knitter, however some of my testers used a 4mm with great success (and the lower yardage). There is no real gauge, as this is a shawl, but if you are a tight knitter, you may wish to follow my lead and use the bigger needle.
