The Reverse Gear Cowl is a one-size, super thick and squishy, unisex cowl that will keep you toasty during cold winter activities! Functional and fashionable, it is reversible for twice the longevity in your winter wardrobe - with contrasting, jogless stripes on one side, and a fun gear-like colourwork on the other (especially fun for those folks wanting to practice fairisle without carrying long, pesky floats!).

Skill level required:
This cowl is an intermediate knit, with several fun techniques (provisional cast-on, fairisle, jogless stripes, and 3-needle bindoff) to keep even an experienced knitter entertained.

Materials:
-2 contrasting skeins of All Points North Yarn Co. Dream Sport (115g/~280yds per skein)

  • 2 x 24” 3.75mm circular needles (or one 24” 3.75mm interchangeable circular + one extra 24” cable)
  • a single 3.75mm needle for 3-needle bindoff (either circular, single pointed, or double pointed)
  • 1 stitch marker, and wool needle for weaving in ends
