One size fits most with this pattern, but the size will vary depending on the yarn and hook you use. In the pattern, I use 100% wool with a 4mm hook. For the warmer weather, it can also be made using 100% cotton but will fit a bit more loosely. There are tips included in the pattern to make it smaller for cotton crochet. This pattern would suit intermediate crocheters.

The PDF pattern is 16 pages long and consists of full instructions and over 60 instructional pictures. Instructions are in US terms. You will need to work sc, hdc and dc stitches and the top and brim are worked in rounds. Granny squares are crocheted together, not sewn.
