The finished coin purse measures 4.5’’ x 4.5’’ approximately and uses scraps or left over pieces of yarn making a good stash buster project. I used cotton because it’s a bit more durable than acrylic or other yarns. The purse is made up of 2 Granny Squares making it a fully customisable project to your own individual style. The pattern is suitable for an experienced beginner upwards.

For this pattern, you will need:

  • 3.5mm hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Pins/safety pins
  • 3 buttons
  • Cotton thread
  • Small eyed needle
  • DK yarn in colours of your choice

You will need to be familiar with the terms (US terminology):

  • Chain
  • Single Crochet
  • Half Double Crochet
  • Double Crochet
  • Slip Stitch
  • Space
  • Fasten off
  • Magic Ring
  • Colour Changes

The Gauge is not important on this project, just keep a consistent tension throughout.

It’s an ideal project for an experienced beginner upwards and makes a great gift.

The pattern is 3 pages long and includes colour photos.
