I designed the Grape Gansey Slouch Hat to be a quick knit - a fun and easy project for beginners and experienced knitters alike. Worked from the band up, this hat pattern uses simple knit and purl stitch combinations to create the interesting textural effect that appears more complicated and “knitterly” than it is. Instructions are given for working in the round using two circular needles, but it can be done using double-point needles or with a single circular needle and the Magic Loop method.

Using affordable and easy care acrylic yarn, this slouch hat is an ideal gift project. It knits up quickly, looks fabulous, and won’t break the bank.
