This cuff-down sock with a heel flap features a Grinning Cheshire Cat design. Cats eyes beam out over a wide grin. Lace arrows point the directions you may take and the cat fades into the shadows through the lace.

References to Grinning Cheshire cats can be found in the UK dating from the 1700s but it is most popularly known from Lewis Carroll’s book - Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Multiple options are included for the leg of the sock. You will need at least 2 contrasting colours. Use anything you like for the main colour; variegated, tonal and stripes all work well. Or craft your own unique sock mixing it all up with lots of leftover scraps.

Colour work and lace is charted.
