The Groningen Pullover is a bottom-up knitted pullover. All of the pieces are knitted flat separately and blocked before they are seamed together. The front is knitted first, then the back, and finally the two sleeves. Once the pullover is assembled, the collar is knitted, completing the piece. The pullover has a dropped shoulder construction, which makes it easy to adapt the length of the pieces to any individual body. Keep in mind that the pullover is on the shorter side. If you want a longer version, this will increase your yarn requirements.

Sweater’s Bust:
There are nine sizes in total, and the pullover is meant to have 5 to 15 cm (2 to 6 in) of positive ease. The finished bust measurements are:
90 (100) 110 (120) 130 (140) 150 (160) 170 cm
35 (39) 43 (47) 51 (55) 59 (63) 67 in

Suggested Gauge:
The gauge of the stitch pattern used is 10 x 10 cm = 18 sts x 32 rows with 4.0 mm needles. Keep in mind that this gauge is achieved after blocking the swatch/pieces.

Suggested Needles:
Straight or circular needles: 4 mm (US6) needles
Circular needles: 3.5 mm (US4) 80 cm (32 in) needles
Double pointed needles: 3 mm (US2.5) needles

Suggested Yarn:
The yarn used for this pattern is Nutiden Yarn from Höner Och Eir, but other similar unspun thin roving yarns held double or DK weight yarn held single can also be used. The yarn is held double, but can be held single as well, depending on your preference. Keep in mind that the collar might not fold and stand as well when knitted with one strand.

Around 330 (370) 410 (440) 470 (510) 530 (560) 580 grams of Nutiden Yarn held double is used. Or around 900 (1000) 1100 (1200) 1300 (1400) 1500 (1600) 1700 meters of any similar unspun thin roving yarn held double or DK yarn held single.
