This easy, quick to knit hat is designed to show off hand dyed fingering weight yarn –those ones we all have a habit of collecting! The simple design ensures that the hand dyed colors will be the focal point, and the easy slouchy style will make this hat part of your everyday style. Lightweight with no bulk, slip it in your pocket or purse and always have a hat handy.

Supplies:
100 gram skein of any fingering weight (sock weight) yarn.
The pattern as written can be made with as little as 50 grams. You may need more yarn if you make any modifications. If you need a larger or smaller hat, cast on any multiple of 8. Sample shown was knit with Hedgehog Sock in Villian.

16” circular needles in US size 3, or size needed for gauge, plus a set of DPNs for decreasing top of hat.
Gauge should be 26 sts over 4 inches measured over stockinette stitch (the body of the hat).

Finished dimensions: Top of hat to bottom edge is 9 inches. Hat will stretch to fit up to a 22”-23” head.
