YOUR HEART ON SLEEVE SWEATER
A cable project with a traditional look and modern construction.
The Your Heart on Sleeve Sweater was designed as a quiet expression of affection — a way to carry warmth and connection in every stitch. The heart-shaped cables flow from shoulder to cuff, a subtle nod to the idea of wearing one’s heart openly and with intention.
As part of the String of Hearts collection, this piece reflects the balance between simplicity and detail — soft textures, gentle structure, and a touch of sentiment woven through each line.
CONSTRUCTIONT
This oversized raglan sweater celebrates contrast: intricate cable work cascading down the sleeves meets the calm expanse of stockinette across the body. Worked seamlessly from the top down, it begins with a soft 2×2 ribbed neckband and a few short rows to shape the neckline before the raglan lines unfold. As the yoke grows, the String of Hearts motifs emerge along each shoulder, slowly revealing their rhythm.
The silhouette is relaxed yet refined, with wide, straight sleeves and small side slits at the hem for ease and movement.
The pattern includes both written instructions and charts.

18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm or 4 x 4 “in stockinette sts after blocking with 5 mm / US 8 needle.
If you cannot get the same gauge, adjust the needle size to obtain the number of sts for a 10 cm / 4” WIDTH. Length is adjustable.
Note: if you are using ‘shorties’ circular needle for the sleeves, you may have to swatch with shorties in a circle to get an accurate gauge. Shorties tend to knit a tighter gauge. You may try going up a needle size with shorties to match the body gauge.
