The Heartstrings Fingerless Gloves make the perfect addition to the Heartstrings Ladies Slouch Hat I released a couple of weeks ago. The star stitch gives the illusion of cute little hearts running in rows up these stylish gloves. They are a perfect cool weather fashion accessory for just about any occasion.

Difficulty:
Easy/Intermediate

Materials Needed:
4.5mm (7) hook (or hook needed to obtain gauge)
5mm (H) hook for bands if you crochet tightly
Approximately 125-150 yards of Red Heart Soft in Berry
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Scissors
Two, 5/8” buttons

Stitches Used:
ch= chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
BPhdc = back post half double crochet
FPhdc = front post half double crochet

Additional terms:
Stitching in the “3rd loop” of hdc. After turning, work all stitches for that row in the 3rd loop of the hdc from previous row (it will be facing you).
This pattern uses the Star Stitch for rows 3 and 4. I’ve included written instructions on both rows.

Gauge:
17 stitches to 4”

Measurements:
Finished glove should measure, unstretched, 5” tall by 3 1/2” wide

Additional Notes:
This hat works best when using very soft, worsted weight yarn with plenty of drape. Use of another yarn besides Red Heart Soft may give you different results.
