The Holo Hood is the ultimate versatile option to be warm and stylish in all situations. It comes in two gauges (sport or worsted) and in a variety of sizes, from baby to super-bulky-hairdo-with-headphones-on, allowing everyone to wear this piece and make it their own without having to compromise on what’s happening below it. It can be worn up or down and comes with 2 options for the front closure: a buttoned cowl or two long scarves that wrap elegantly around the neck.

The hood is worked up in all-over two-color brioche for a beautiful striping texture that is entirely reversible thanks to the unique double-sided cabled border. This design is the perfect playground to use those beautiful color changing or heavily variegated yarns, or even to showcase your precious handspun yarn, especially since brioche is so forgiving gauge-wise.

To see different versions of the pattern knit in various yarns, sizes, fibers and colors, you can check out the testers version under the “Project” tab at the top of the page, or the #HoloHood on Instagram.

The pattern has been tested and professionally tech edited.

YARN USED IN SAMPLES
Any heavy fingering to aran weight yarns will be suited for the pattern. Brioche gauge is very forgiving and you can pair different yarn weights together.

YARN REQUIREMENTS
A buffer for swatching purposes is already accounted for.

The MC and CC (excluding the border) use approx. the same amount of yarn, unless using a different yarn weight for each.
