The Homegrown Shawl was designed for the Haunui x Union Fibre Advent 2025, to celebrate the beautiful Haunui wool that was homegrown on a farm, then hand dyed, hand spun and hand knit here in New Zealand.

The shawl features a repeating brioche stitch, where the dominant colour alternates. The shape is easy to modify to suit the variation in thickness and metreage of hand spun yarn.

You can knit yours just like the original, or use this as a guide but make it your own!
