Wildgrass Hat is a great stash-busting hat for any single skeins of DK weight yarn you have laying around!
This hat was originally designed in Happy-Go-Knitty Foxhow yarn which has unfortunately been discontinued.
I made my second version (the blue version) as a gift out of some other discontinued 4ply yarn held double. Both versions worked out great, so you can also stash bust single skeins of 4ply with this pattern!
Even with the pom-pom I only used about 190 metres/208 yards total.
This hat puts a modern twist on the classic Celtic-style cable, using a background of reverse stockinette stitch. I always wanted to use this beautiful cable on something, and I absolutely love it as a feature on this hat. Enjoy :)
