This pattern is knit from the bottom up and uses a picot stitch to finish the top section. If you don’t want to crochet the bottom, you can also do the picot for that part instead. The bottom would be open instead of closed.

This does not take up an entire skein of yarn. In fact, I can make several coozies with one skein.
