During the last winter holidays my daughter suggested we light candles to make our mealtimes more special and so we did! Every time the candles were lit, the meals seemed a little bit tastier and the chatter more joyful.
These knitted candle’s are based on our mealtime ones. The Scandinavian term Hygge (pronounced who-guh) is about creating an atmosphere that brings us comfort, coziness and joy. I hope these knitted candles help to bring hygge into your life.

The candle is knit in the round, from the bottom up on dpns. The wax is an I-cord with bobbles that is knit separately and then sewn on in the finishing. This pattern can be adapted to knitting flat.

Praise for Hygge Candle

Cute, easy pattern. (bonewoman)
