Grant is a lazy blob-y cat friend made of your favorite flavor of ice-cream resting on his favorite perch--an equally darling ice cream cone. You can’t eat him, but you might want to, especially if you use a gradient yarn which makes for the most dynamic double scoop cones. Though Grant pretends to be a grouch, he’s actually so full of love, and he wants nothing more to someone’s best friend.

All my patterns assume a basic knowledge of crochet techniques, and any special stiches used will be explained as needed. This pattern is: Beginner / Intermediate Level. The finished product will require some sewing, applying pieces to make the body, an understanding of how to use the front-post and back post, and how to crochet extra rows onto finished objects. Grant can be any flavor you desire, mix and match colors and textures of yarns to make fluffy, tasty looking buddy.

The yarn used in my pictures happens to be a mixture of different Lion Brand Ice Cream yarn, and for this project, I can’t help but recommend it. Single strand, doubled, or tripled, the gradient is really pleasant (and looks super tasty!) I recommend you stick to a weight 4 yarn for the cone.

For the accent color, I recommend breaking up a Mandala bonus bundle in Elektro and us the warm brown sections. I highly recommend using this yarn for anything you want look like caramel.
