What’s her name? Mer-me-m- Madaline! That’s right, this is Madaline the totally normal and very delightful baby rhino who loves cake so much she became one! She just wants to be your best friend and live the sweetest, cutest existence ever! Bring her to life for die-hard fans, people who love sweet things, or enchant the imagination of your favorite little girl by making her an adorable new friend that will be with her a lifetime!

All my patterns assume a basic knowledge of crochet techniques, and any special stiches used will be explained as needed. This pattern is: Intermediate / Advanced level. This pattern includes a lot of small pieces, techniques like applique, color changes, and the finished product will require a good bit of sewing.

To make the larger size Madaline, use super bulky (weight 5 or 6) yarns. This however will require more yardage. To make the example, I used less than an entire skein of Wool Ease thick and quick for the darker pink color. The lighter pink sections are crocheted with tripled up the Airee yarn to get approximately the same weight as the Thick and Quick.

To make the smaller version, use worsted (weight 3 or 4) yarns. I used a combination of Feel’s like Butter, Sugar ‘n Cream yarn, along with some spare colors for finishing.
