Inger Capelet
by Kaylee Brow
Inger is the mother in the book The Growth of the Soil. She is a sturdy woman and a source of love and encouragement for everyone in the story. She spins and weaves and sews and makes wonderful cheeses. She is the quintessential caretaker. She often makes mistakes and her humanity is a large part of the beauty of the story.
I imagine Inger wore some plain and simple shawls to keep off the chill whilst spinning and weaving and doing all kinds of chores. I designed this simple, but sweet capelet to wrap you in gentle warmth as you move throughout your day.
