The Fair Isle Tank Top/Vest is knitted in the round utilizing steeks to create the armholes & neck opening. It is knitted bottom-up with 2” of negative ease throughout & fits snuggly as a tank top. To be worn as a vest, it is recommended to knit this with about 1” negative ease or no ease & slightly longer shoulder straps, depending on your preference. It is finished with a 2 stitch I-cord bind off.

This written pattern assumes that you know the basics of stranded knitting, steeking, & I-cord bind off. It is a condensed pattern for you to modify according to your measurements & design preferences, using your gauge. A list of unaffiliated tutorials that I found useful are found on my blog (see link on pattern pg 5).

Difficulty Level: Intermediate.

Sample size XS shown stretches to fit 32” chests, 26” waist, & 36” hips.

The finished object in size XS weighed about 200 g. Please estimate how much yarn is needed for your size accordingly. When in doubt, always get an extra skein.
