Isabella MacGregor Bunny
The pattern is knit in the round using the Magic Loop method. If you can manage double pointed needles for the project, use them. (My arthritis makes it very difficult to hold them.)
Isabella stand 5” tall from her bunny feet to the tips of her ears.
I use worsted weight yarn. The size 2 (2.75mm) needles and the worsted wt yarn produces the correct “texture” (dense fabric type) for the bunny.
This pattern is perfect for “Stash” knitting.
The body is stuffed semi firm and the head is stuffed firmly. If the knit product is too loose to begin with, the stuffing pulls the stitches and it shows through. Yuck.
I would strongly suggest using wool or wool alpaca or merino yarn.
If you choose to use acrylic yarn, I cannot guarantee the final result. It will not look like the photos included in the pattern.
No buttons or beads are used to finish the bunny. It makes for a perfect gift for wee bairns and grownup who just need an extra cuddle.
Please contact me if you need any assistance whilst knitting “Isabella”.
