This little ruffled shawl was inspired by a fellow knit-blogger, named Jenni, who saw a similar shawl at Sak’s Fifth Avenue. It was a cashmere shawl that cost more than any sane person would be willing to spend on a shawl, at least in my world. So, I created a sort of “knock off.”

I will add some notes to this pattern, for customizing. You can make it longer, wider and also make the ruffles as long or short as you’d like. It’s totally up to you.

-I used almost all of the 2 skeins of Caron Simply Soft. If you plan to make the shawl longer or wider add an extra skein. Any worsted weight yarn will do for this shawl.

-I used my Denise interchangeable needles to make a really long circular needle. I connected two of the long cables. If you don’t have those types of needles, I know Addi Turbo has some long needles available.

-Even though this shawl is easy to knit. You should know how to Pick Up stitches along the edges. Kf&b (knit into the front and the back of a stitch) Also the M1 increase (lifting the bar between stitches and knitting into the back of it). Otherwise this shawl is mostly Stockinette stitch and great for TV watching. Mindless and fairly easy to keep up with.
