These mittens were designed and knitted up just in time for J.R.R. Tolkien’s birthday (January 3). The back features the symbol that Tolkien created from his initials. On the front is a simple recurring Ring-like pattern. I added a simple sword design on the thumb, but this can be swapped out for the Ring pattern if that is your preference. This is a free pattern, so feel free to customize it to suit your needs as long as it is not for commercial for-profit use.
