Ju Kyu is the nineteenth day of the 2017 Advent calendar: twenty-four patterns, one a day, to learn to count in Chinese.

It is written 十九: the cross of ten, then nine, one stroke falling to the left, the other running across, dropping down and curling back up into a hook.

This stockinette hat carries a two-color colorwork pattern above a 1/1 ribbed brim: a band of stars, then, after a few plain rounds, a frieze of crosses and small diamonds. It is knitted in the round, from the bottom up, in one skein of (Vi)Laines “Tordue Aran” and leftovers of a second color.

Ju Kyu est le dix-neuvième jour du calendrier de l’Avent 2017 : vingt-quatre modèles, un par jour, pour apprendre à compter en chinois.

Il s’écrit 十九 : la croix du dix, puis le neuf, un trait qui tombe vers la gauche, un autre qui part à l’horizontale, descend et se relève en crochet.

Ce bonnet en jersey porte un jacquard à deux couleurs, au-dessus d’une bordure en côtes 1/1 : une bande d’étoiles, puis, après quelques tours unis, une frise de croix et de petits losanges. Il se tricote en rond, du bas vers le haut, dans un écheveau de (Vi)Laines « Tordue Aran » et un reste d’une seconde couleur.
