In 2023 I will have a monthly series of Celtic knot squares! I think the corner loops look floral, so I chose this square to be in the summer when we have flowers blooming here in Canada.

You will receive two files, one for each technique: interlocking crochet (from the bottom-up, like normal) and overlay mosaic crochet (from the center-out, no cut ends to worry about).

  • Contrasting color (background) – 325 yards

The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern. YouTube Tutorials

Mosaic crochet uses single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design.When you work in the round you carry your yarn up the corner so there’s no need to cut it at the end of each round.
