The Kaino Sweater is a top-down yoke sweater. It is easy to knit, as the stranded colorwork involves only two colors per row.

The pattern includes sizes S–XXL. After the seamlessly knitted yoke, the sweater is divided into sleeves and body. In sizes S–L, the colorwork pattern continues after the division.

In addition to the main color and the background color (e.g. white) the sweater features three other colors. The pattern is designed to work best when using two shades — for example, beige and blue — with both light and dark tones of each.

Yarn: Any bulky-weight yarn with the gauge 13 sts * 18 rows = 1010 cm (44 “). The sample sweater is knitted with Icelandic Álafosslopi.

Needles: For the body and yoke, circular needles 5 mm (US 8, UK 6) and 6 mm (US 10, UK 4). For the sleeves, double-pointed needles 5 mm (US 8, UK 6) and 6 mm (US 10, UK 4).

Suomeksi (in Finnish)

Kaino-pusero on ylhäältä alas neulottava kaarrokepusero. Se on helppo neuloa, sillä kirjoneuleessa on kullakin kerroksella vain kahta väriä kerrallaan.

Ohjeessa on koot S–XXL. Saumattomasti neulottavan kaarrokkeen jälkeen pusero jaetaan hihoihin ja vartaloon. Koossa S–L kirjoneule jatkuu vielä erottamisen jälkeen.

Päävärin ja pohjavärin (esim. valkoinen) lisäksi puserossa on kolme muuta väriä. Kuvio toimii parhaiten, kun käytössä on kahta sävyä — esimerkiksi beige ja sininen — joista molemmista on sekä vaalea että tumma sävy.

Lanka: Mikä tahansa bulky-vahvuinen lanka, jolla neuletiheys on 13 s * 18 krs = 10 * 10 cm. Mallipusero on neulottu islantilaisella Álafosslopilla.
