This is a pattern for knitted hexagons, that may be sewn into a lap blanket. The measurements are 52-inches by 49-inches. There are a total of 18 unique Persian designs inspired from the book, “The Grammar of Ornament” by Owen Jones

This pattern uses Chroma colors and while the pattern specifically advises which ones were used, you may most certainly choose your own favorite colors. The Chroma colors on the darker background (main) color make for a kaleidoscope effect similar to the popular childhood device/toy.

The total amount of wool for these designs are broken down as follows:

Totals (yds)
Palette Total (Main color) (1,688)
Color H: Navy (1,688)
Chroma Total (Contrast color) (1,197)
Color A: Drawing Room (133)
Color B: Pegasus (253)
Color C: Seahorse (129)
Color D: Groovy (142)
Color E: Tiki (199)
Color F: GoGo Boots (131)
Color G: Mermaid (210)

These are the actual yardages and do not take into account leftover amounts. Please see photos for the names and appearances of the chroma colors listed above. You may, of course, choose your own chroma colors and/or color schemes, too. There are dozens of chroma colorways from which to choose. Have fun with your color combinations.
