Krissix is a rectangular shawl knit end to end in two colors. The lace pattern was developed using a system of encoding words into knitting patterns developed by Naomi Parkhurst. In this case, I used the name Kris to create the lace pattern. The sample was knit using a light fingering weight, but would also work in lace, sport, or a light DK weight. Instructions to change the width and length are included in the instructions.

Yarn
Love Potion, Merino/Bamboo fingering weight from Avalon Springs Farm, 3.99 ounces, 555 yds/507 m, 2 skeins. Sample used approximately 535 yds/490 m in Golden Harp (Color A) and 450 yds/410 m in Fairy Wings (Color B).

Needles - US size 4 (3.5 mm), 32”/80 cm circular recommended. If you are using a yarn different from the sample, use a needle that gives you a fabric you like.

Miscellaneous- darning needle for weaving in ends
