In English:

The word ‘kuohu’ is a Finnish word which has many meanings but this time it is connected to the meaning of sea foam. After spending the Summer in Pirkanmaa region in Finland I fell in love with the countless amount of lakes and water areas in there. The name of the beanie was inspired by the element of water: how it can be very calming, vigorously moving and also capable to change its form to solid, liquid and gas. By floating on the surface you can travel through the Seven Seas and explore new places and adventures. So hop on board and wear your Kuohu Beanie through the hurdle of life!

This beanie design dedicated to my dad who passed away as the greatest adventurest above the Seven Seas.

The Kuohu Beanie is knitted from bottom to top with a sport weight and lace weight yarns held together or with worsted weight yarn only for one stranded version. The beanie is knitted in ribbing using combination knitting technique and has a triple-folded brim. It is a perfect beanie for brisky Autumn days.

The finished beanie has a circumference of 40 (44.5) cm / 15.75 (17.5) inches and is worn with negative ease of 8–14 cm / 1.5–5.5”. This hat stretchy, and will fit a range of head sizes.

Circumference around the beanie is to fit head sizes of Ø 53–57 (58–62) cm / 21–22.5 (23–24) inches. The height of the beanie is adjustable.

Suomeksi:

Koko:

Valmiin pipon ympärysmitta on 40 (44.5) cm. Pipo on suunniteltu sopivaksi päähän, jonka ympärysmitta on 53–57 (58–62) cm.

Langat:
Kahdella langalla (vaaleanharmaa pipo):

Tiheys:
10 cm x 10 cm
36 s x 34 krs joustinneuletta venyttämättä

Puikot:
3 mm pyöröpuikot (Ø 40 cm) ja 3 mm sukkapuikot

Huomio! Ohje on kirjoitettu Ø 40 cm pyöröpuikkoja sekä sukkapuikkoja käyttäen, mutta on sovellettavissa looppaustekniikalle (eng. Magic Loop).
