These Lapland inspired trees are a fun, festive knit! Their colors are in tribute to the beautiful Sámi people and their traditional clothing. They are knit in the round on dpns from the bottom to the top. The bottom is left open so they can be stuffed and so they can stand better independently. For those interested in practicing their jogless Latvian braids, I have included videos links. You can decorate your trees with French Knots baubles. They have been a joy to have on my mantle this holiday season!

Praise for Lapland Dreaming

This pattern is well written, easy to understand and fun to knit! Once I started, I couldn’t stop, I had to see it done! I think I need to knit a forest now! (CharleneKirkland)

This is such a cute project and would make a great gift. The Latvian braid is a beautiful addition and is far easier to knit than it looks. The video tutorials linked in the pattern are very helpful. (knittingirishlass)

A mini tree with a Latvian blade as a good accent. I like the cute size that can be displayed in a small space. (mirihi)
