These socks are knit from the cuff down, ribbed cuff, lace instep, stockinette sole, shadow wrap heel and rounded toe. Directions are given for 9” circular needles, although feel free to divide for magic loop or double point needles if you prefer.

Sizes: S(M)L; Small – 7”/18cm, M- 8”/20cm, L – 9”/20cm

Gauge: 24 stitches over 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch (knit in the round, blocked)
**** Note: The lace does have a little bit of give so if you prefer more negative ease go down a size.

Needles:

  1. 3.5mm/US 4 9” circular
  2. 3.5mm/US 4 40” circular for magic loop on the toes

Yarn: estimated 150 yards of sock/fingering; sample was knit in Soiree from Magpie Fibers: Swanky DK (80% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon)

**** Note: I used 113 yards/52g for the sample which was knit in a medium size for a women’s shoe size 8.5

**** Note: This pattern was test knit in a slightly speckled yarn, and the lace and texture were so lost – the sock didn’t get a callback for the photoshoot. When picking a yarn, I recommend looking for a solid, or slight tonal color.

Notions: Removable stitch marker(s), tapestry needle, scissors.
