These socks are knit from the cuff down, ribbed cuff, textured instep, stockinette sole, shadow wrap heel and rounded toe—options for plain toe or a textured toe. Directions are given for 9” circular needles; although feel free to divide for magic loop or double point needles if you prefer.

Sizes: S(M)L; Small – 7”/18cm, M- 8”/20cm, L – 9”/20cm

Gauge: 36 stitches over 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch (blocked)
Needles:

  1. 2.25mm (US 1) 9” circular
  2. 2.25mm (US1) 40” circular, magic loop on the toes.

Yarn: estimated 150-250 yards of sock/fingering.
Peach & Gray sock:
Main color: 144yards/31g Shredded Lava from Sock Obsession Yarns (Sock: 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon)
Contrast Color: 61yards/15g Crystal from Hedgehog Fibres (Sock Yarn: 90% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Nylon).

Hot Pink: 207yards/52g Gossip from Hedgehog Fibres (Twist Sock 80% Blue Faced Leicester Superwash wool and 20% nylon).

**** Note: I used roughly 210 yards for both samples, knit in a medium size for a women’s shoe size 8.5
**** Note: the texture design makes the variegated and multicolor yarns really POP!

Notions: two different stitch markers (1 for BOR, and 1 for dividing instep from sole) tapestry needle, scissors.
