Lightly Woven Shawl
by Abby Dalager
I would consider this pattern at the Advanced Beginner knitter level. An adventurous and easy-to-learn knitter could also follow along, and some of the stitches have a YouTube video link to show how it’s done.
Design Features:
- Top-down construction
- I-cord edging
- Knit / Purl combinations
Materials:
* Worsted (4) weight yarn (Appx 550 yards)
- For my sample, I used 3 skeins of Malabrigo Rios in color: Gris
- US 8 (5.0mm) circular needles with up to a 48” cord (or any length you feel comfortable working with)
- 4 stitch markers
Gauge:
Unblocked: 14 sts x 22 rows = 4”x4” in stockinette (worked flat)
Wet Blocked: 12 sts x 24 rows = 4”x4” in stockinette (worked flat)
