This hat is an exploration of the experience of embodying a liminal space. The psychological process of change, and the uncertainty that one feels in the process of becoming, the precipice where you are not the same person you once were but are not yet who you are meant to become. For me, this process, or journey, is metaphorically categorized by steps, the image of a bridge, walking along a bridge seems to be the perfect image to describe the process of living in these uncertain spaces. I chose geometric images that allude to staircases and bridges, in order to embody these ideas, along with a colour change that shifts from blue to white, expressing the sense of clarity that emerges as part of the change.

Thank you for all your kindness and support it has helped keep this dream, and the fire, alive and it’s deeply appreciated.
