Lithuania-Inspired Floral and Entrelac Mittens

Knitting
December 2016
Light Fingering ?
35 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches
in stranded colorwork
US 1½ - 2.5 mm
1365 yards (1248 m)
8 inches (20.3 cm) palm circumference and 10.5 inches (26.7 cm) hand length from cast-on to tip

These mittens combine entrelac and stranded colorwork. The floral motif on the hand is used throughout the Baltics and reminds me of the love of flowers in that part of the world. These mittens knitted with floral motifs will remind the wearer of the warmer months that will return at winter’s end.
