Salix or Willow trees have distinct elongated leaves and this pattern will show you how to knit your own Little Leaves in three different sizes. They are knit in the round and are reversible. They are compatible with some of my other patterns such as Take a Leaf or the Leaf Hat.
You can add these leaves to any other project - be creative!

I knitted these leaves with sock / fingering weight yarn, then the finished leaves turn out about 3,5cm/5,5cm/7,5cm long. But really you can knit these with any weight of yarn, the sizes will just be different.

You will need:

• some leftover yarn
• 3 dpns
• a st holder or scrap yarn to park some sts
• possibly a st marker
• a needle to weave in the ends
