Sizes:

1 (2, 3, 4)

Finished measurements around body of hat:
18.5” (20”, 21”, 22.5”)

You generally want to have a hat with 1-2” of negative ease.

Yarn:
MC: 50-70g/100-200 yds Worsted weight yarn
CC: 15-25g/40-70 yds Worsted weight yarn

This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up. The colorwork is knit with mosaic knitting (slipped stitches). I designed Little Ripples to use up those extra little bits of worsted weight yarn you might have in your stash, and making the stripes ripple made them more interesting. It is a simple technique that adds a twist to a striped hat.

I knit the samples in both a non-superwash yarn and in superwash to show the difference in the yarns. Brooklyn Tweed Tones for the non-superwash, and a combination of The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Squish Worsted and Malabrigo Rios for the superwash.

The Tones version was knit in size 3 with 43g of ‘Undertone Baseline’ for MC and 17g of ‘Undertone Persimmon’ for CC. This includes the pom pom made to finish off the hat.

The superwash version was knit in size 2 with 50g of The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Squish Worsted ‘Paul Newman’ and 12g of Malabrigo Rios ‘Bobby Blue’, this version is without a pom pom.
