This cosy neckwarmer is a fairly easy knit, making it a quick project so it’s great for gift-giving, as well as being a great addition to your colder weather wardrobe. This knit features a rippled effect which is easily made using a cabling technique. This is a fast but rewarding project which is small enough to make it easily portable so it’s great for taking on your commute or to your knit group.

Construction
This neckwarmer is knitted flat before being seamed into a tube. Beginning with a garter stitch border, the wavy rippled effect is created with a series of cables. Another garter stitch border is worked before binding off and then the two ends are mattress stitched together. The simplicity of this project makes it a handy knit for working on your commute, and the chunky yarn used in this project makes it a speedy knit, which is great for your seasonal gift-giving or craft fairs and markets.

Gauge
16 x 22 on 6mm (US 10) needles, knitted in st-st. As everyone knits differently and tension can differ according to each knitter, feel free to change needle size to get the right gauge. Working to a different gauge is likely to affect the size of your garment.
