About
These snuggly mitts are easy to knit and can be worked up quickly, making them ideal for gift-giving, as well as being a great addition to your colder weather wardrobe. The simple thumbhole is easy to knit with no shaping required and results in a glove that offers warmth without restricting finger mobility. A self-striping yarn makes this knit an easy, eye-catching project but they’d also be great in plain colours.

Construction
These wristwarmers are knitted inside out and worked in the round, with a simple hole for the thumb that requires no increases or decreases for shaping. Beginning with a small section in st-st, these mitts are mostly knitted in the round in a k2, p2 rib. For the thumbhole, we switch to working back and forth in rows before reverting back to knitting in the round for the final section of the hand. Another small st-st section is worked (resembling a rolled hem) - when the mitts are turned the right way round this offers an attractive textured hem.

Yarn
This pattern uses James C. Brett Aurora. Other yarns can be substituted as long as gauge matches. Colour shown here is AU05
